Will Teddy Bridgewater Return As Vikings Starter In Week 10?
Vikings starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater missed all of last year and every game so far this season due to injury, but his return seems to be on pace for Week 10 against the Redskins. However, whether or not the Bridgewater return leads to significant playing time right away is another matter entirely. This is because, in Bridgewater’s absence, backup Case Keenum has led the Vikings to a 6-2 record while playing some of the best football of his career. Still, having Bridgewater back and healthy would be a Class A problem for the club. (Although, if Sam Bradford comes back from injury this year, too, there could be a problematic three-way QB controversy in Minnesota.)
Even off the field, a Teddy Bridgewater return this season would certainly be a big lift for the Vikings, as their potential franchise play-caller nearly lost his left leg last August after tearing his ACL and dislocating his knee in practice. On the field, with Aaron Rodgers out for the rest of the season, the Vikings are primed to skate in the NFC North, and the 24-year-old Bridgewater could take advantage of his team’s relatively weak remaining schedule (including games against the Lions, Falcons, Bengals, Packers, and Bears) to get in some solid practice before the playoffs begin.
